Master Gardening Classes
Master Gardener Class
Feb 23 to May 25
Registration may be closed now for the Master Gardening Class in Fairbanks.
It will include 40 hours of horticultural subjects including botany,
soils, physiology, plant taxonomy, outdoor and greenhouse gardening,
lawns, houseplants, ornamentals and garden pests.
The class (which is limited to 25 students) is taught by Michele
Hebert, the Tanana Valley District agriculture & horticulture agent. It
will run from February 23 to May 25. Apply early - it usually fills up
very fast!
Fees are $75, with 40 hours of volunteer community service required
(within 2 years). For more information, drop by the Cooperative

Please return the Registration Form and Volunteer Commitment Form with
your fee payment by January 31. Each class size is limited to 20
students, and registration is accepted on a first-come/first-served basis.
Since class usually fills up well before the registration deadline, we urge
you to register as soon as possible!
