Purpose
This non-profit organization is organized exclusively for charitable,
scientific, educational, and civic purposes within the meaning of Section
501C3 of the Internal Revenue Code, including but not limited to activities
which:
- Enhance and supplement the University of Alaska Cooperative Extension
Master Gardeners Program,
- Assume responsibility of performing and engaging in special tasks
related to the Program,
- Promote a wide dissemination to Alaska citizens of gardening
information available as a result of University study and experimentation,
and
- Foster, promote, and disseminate gardening information in Alaska.

Meeting & Membership Information
Regular meetings are generally held on the first Tuesday of a month, with
the exception of January, July, and August. Meetings are cancelled when the
temperature is -30F at 3 p.m. when calling 844. Tours are planned for
spring and summer and are announced by e-mail. For information on
current month's plans contact:
mastergardeners@alaska.com. Regular members are those who have completed
the CES Master Gardener course, paid annual dues and have full voting
rights. Associate members are anyone who pays their dues and has not
completed the CES Master Gardener course. Associate members have no voting
rights. Dues are $20 for an individual; $25 for a family. A lifetime
membership can be purchased for $250. The organizational year is April 1 to
March 31.
